>>While many of the sentiments attributed to the landlord are heartless, the children are NOT his responsibility.<<

True enough. But given the timing and obvious symbolism of the situation it seemed to be metaphorical of another landlord who likes to bully and threaten eviction of people living under his roof...

I'll give the man in Oklahoma credit for emotional honesty. Despite his heartlessness, at least he doesn't pretend that exercising control over the property is benevolence or love which is more than can be said for some landlords;)

But to go back to my meanderings on dualities... Specifically in relationship to the Christian view of the metaphysical data. If Christ (and his love) is sitting on the right hand of the father, then just who (and with what) is sitting on the left?

Perhaps the right wispers in the inspired words of Chief Seattle: "But how can buy or sell the sky? The land? The idea is strange to us. If we do not own the freshness of the air and the sparkle of the water, how can you buy them?... Preserve the land for all children and love it, as God loves us all".

And perhaps in response the left cowls from self importance and greed born of despair "It's mine all mine, I am the (land) Lord!" His voice, the engine of American capitalism echoing the primal beat... MORE, MORE, MORE, MORE...I don't have enough, I'm not good enough, I'm afraid, I don't want to die, I don't have enough... MORE, MORE, MORE, MORE...

And all this just loud enough to drown out that other primal beat... fear, fear, fear, fear,... more power more power, the black hole threatens to consume , and spiral into a neverending hell with no escape.

"The Kingdom of the Father is spread upon the earth and men do not see it" - Logion 113

Or to look at it from a different duality, if one place is filled, then why is the other one so empty? That emptiness is the grail wound.
