What a stupid and hateful question. Folks are so busy teaching us to hate ourselves from the day we are born and then they wonder why we might have inner conflicts ... and then to sarcastically attack the difficulties that we often have in developing relationships when so many of us grew up with nothing but negative stereotypes to define ourselves. Those of us who do maintain committed and loving long term relationships often do so despite every attempt by religion, culture, and even our own families to tear them apart.
Your statement above is kind of like beating someone for crying while they are being beaten.
Well here is some background on the various Ex-Gay therapy organizations. I personally think that the whole Ex-Gay movement is nothing more than a scripturally based act of hate dumping on the part of those whose belief systems consider homosexuality a sin.
"Grit your teeth for the Lord sinner and you can be healed" ;)
If there were any genuine concern for the individual, the minisitries would be seeking to help people deal with their inner conflicts regarding their homosexuality without predefining the desired outcome one way or another.
