Well I don't necesarily agree or disagree with everything you have said, except I'll comment on the above underlying assumption. It admits defeat and limits vision before even beginning.

I don't accept the "god given" flaws and crosses as either inevitable or desireable. History is a poor poor place to begin to dream about the future. Ah the good old days when we didn't use the subtle science of psychology and media manipulation, but rather instead just beat and starved our control into others.

In the terms of Asimov's science fiction classic, the Second Foundation was as flawed as the First Foundation. And it would be a grevios disservice to our progeny if we would try to bring into fruition a future based the behavioral modification of B.F. Skinner's "Beyond Freedom and Dignity".

The flaws of the human condition are the flaws we were given but are NOT flaws we must accept. Our fundamental assumptions trap us. No where is this more true than in the vision of a God who we believe absolutely loves us one minute and the next minute has us humbling ourselves before him. The larger truth still awaits the peeling back of more of it's protective layers.
