The above statement was made by a man who was abused by his mother.
Based on your own personal testimony you should know that the most common
form of the acts of "violence and exploitation" you described is that of men
upon women. The vast majority of sexual "indoctrination" is against young
girls, not by strangers, but by men within or know to the family. The vast
majority of sexual "violence" is within the confines of heterosexual
relationships. The traditional family has an enormous closet to open and you
would do well to follow the lead of so many people in this community who are
in the trenches in the efforts to eliminate child abuse. The closet is the
problem, not the solution. Shame and societal homophobia no doubt played a
role in your children not telling you about their abuse when it started.
Pedophiles manipulate shame along with fear to silence their victims.

You seem to have transfered the anger you feel about the acts of your uncle
upon an entire group of people. When you finally come to a reconciliation
of this anger, don't forget to forgive the the millions of gay people who
did absolutely nothing to harm your children.
